Hello, I practice the ancient art of the Smithy at my forge right in the heart of Dartmoor at the blacksmiths forge in Princetown. You are welcome to come and watch me work, but please phone to check that I will be lighting the forge before making a special trip. Regular demonstrations of the ancient Smithy's art are held, please phone us before making a special trip. If you commission an item to be made you are welcome to come see progress at any time. I will give a commentary of what I am doing during the demonstrations as well as some general information about the smithy's art. If you are organising a group visit, please let me know and I will ensure that I will tailor my demonstration to your group. Please note that during the demonstrations there will be a lot of loud banging, small children may be frightened by the sudden bangs. I have been a qualified wrought iron smith for over thirty years. In that time I have done lots of restoration work on manor gates, coffin arches, railings etc and my skills allows me to reproduce parts that are decayed beyond repair. If you need any commissions or restoration work doing please contact me to discuss your requirements.
